I was not fond of this election because I think that it was too long and confusing. I also think that it was very different from other elections that we have had because the dispute lasted longer than the original election date. I think that the votes in Florida were disorganized and unfair.

I think the presidential election is an important American aspect because many years ago Americans did not have a voice or a right to state their opinion. Now we have the chance to pick the leader of our country and we should take advantage of it.

The television media did influence the election because newscasters made assumptions of who would win. When the newscasters said whom they believed won at 7:45 and the election didn’t end till 9:00, people didn’t feel that they should vote.

The Supreme Court is the highest and most powerful court in America. They settled the dispute between Gore and Bush. Lawyers were used to defend both candidates.

During this election I supported George W. Bush. He won the election after many long and tiresome days waiting for the results. From watching this election I have learned a lot about politics. I have learned that our election process was very complicated especially when things went wrong.
