This year, my sixth grade honors students wrote a variety of letters.  These letters were for Social Studies projects, letters of appreciation for participating in the Stock Market Game, letters to the President or in appreciation of C.W. Post University workshop presenters and thank you letters to our Washington, D.C. trip chaperones and Metropolitan Museum of Art tour guides.

My students learned the value of writing a variety of letters. They enjoyed receiving mail addressed to them at home.

During the year we also received letters from middle school students across the country participating in the Great Mail Race.  Some of those students became pen pals and e-mail friends with my class. Those letters are not included on this site.
