The Edmund W. Miles Middle School Student Council, advised by Mrs. Gangi, is made up of two or three students from every advisory class in grades 6-8. The Student Council is a service that helps the school raise money and make things better for the community and school.

Our student council has been working on many things this year. Planning trips to a nursing home, planning school activities, and sponsoring school DANCES! Everyone that I know loves dances and without someone to sponsor them, where would we be? Although the tickets are not free, the money and canned foods go towards making baskets of food to deliver to needy families around our community.

Every Monday after school, the student council has it's meeting to discuss the new and old business of that week. They also almost always do crafts going toward our monthly visits to the Broadlawn Manor Nursing Home, and decorating our school.

I have no clue about what the Student council has done in previous years, but now, it's helping our school and community a lot.
