The title of my book is "Holes." Louis Sachar wrote "Holes." The story is about a boy named Stanley Yelnats. He goes to a camp where you have to dig holes as punishment for a crime. The genre’ of my book is fantasy because nothing like this ever happens in real life.

The setting of my novel takes place in Germany where his no-good-dirty-rotten-pig-stealing-great-great-grandfather lives and Camp Green Lake where children go when they commit a crime.

The main characters are Stanley Yelnats who was accused stealing a baseball player's shoes. Zero who is the fastest digger at camp green lake.

Ray is a very bad looker. His nickname is X-ray but that is only because his name is Ray and that is Pig Latin for Ray.

My favorite part of the book is when Stanley jumps into a hole that has yellow spotted lizards in it and thinks he is going to die because if he gets bitten by one he will get poisoned and die.

I would recommend this book to grades 6 to 9. This is a great novel for anyone to read.
