I go to Edmund W. Miles Middle School. The principal of the school is Mr. Jackson. The assistant principal is Mr. Gonser. Mr. Austin is the dean of the school. Our guidance counselors are Mr. Nelson and Mrs. Bernstein. A guidance counselor is a person you talk to so they can help you solve your problems. My guidance counselor is Mr. Nelson. Mr. Nelson came to my class last year in fifth grade. He talked about the agendas (which we don’t have this year), and the rules. They did not stress anything at the assembly. At the first assembly Mr. Jackson said we should respect people, places, even yourself. He went over the dress code and the behavior code. He also talked about foul language, dangerous weapons, and fighting. Mr. Gonser talked running in the hallways, and bad behavior. Mr. Austin talked about detention, and the consequences of what you do. The school-wide theme for the school is RESPECT. I’m am going to do my best to get good grades and not mess up. I won’t get into any fights. I won’t get suspended or detention. That’s what I will do to make the 2000-2001 school year the best year for me! |
