September,2001 The
purpose of today’s assembly was about the word respect. Some of the
compliments that Mr. Jackson gave to use today were about the dress code
and the word respect. Mr. Jackson said our school-wide theme for this
year is going to be uniforms and respect. The size of our sixth grade class this year is two hundred eighty students. He said the academic capabilities of the sixth grade classes are very good. Mr. Jackson meant the word respect is to respect others feelings and the choices are to follow directions, no name-calling and no vulgar language. If you get a Superintendent's Suspension you can not come back to school. Mr.
Gonser said the sixth graders were doing a fine job this week. Mr.
Gonser is the assistant principal. Mr.Gonser said the regents are test
for all grades. Regents are a state test that you have to take. Mr. Gonser said ignore what the other kids are saying about your clothes. This
year I am going to carry out the rules. It is important to follow these
rules because it shows that you will respect them and live up to the
rules that the school has given you to follow.
