First Assembly

The purpose of the assembly was to inform the students on the rules.  Mr. Jackson gave us some compliments. They were very nice. He said that the sixth graders this year are very academically educated, and looking forward to seeing us pass.

The school wide theme is respect.  This year the sixth grade class is very big it is over 200. Mr. Jackson said the academic level is very high.When Mr. Jackson said respect he wants us to respect everyone in the school. 

 The Superintendent’s suspension, is when you do something out of hand like bring a weapon to school ,or say you are going to hurt someone. You are taken out of school to be put in a police record book, suspended and have to deal with your parents. 

Mr. Gonser said the sixth graders wont be able to play any sports for the school, but we will be able to be in things like student council.  Mr. Gonser is the assistant principal .

He said something about a big test called the regents.  There are five tests we need to take to pass.  Mr. Gonser mentioned,” don’t fall for the he said, she said game”. It will get you in a lot of trouble.  To succeed this school year I will follow the rules.
