First Assembly

September,2001

The purpose of the assembly is to tell the sixth grade about all of the different types of ways you can get  detention, and superintendent’s suspension.

The other purpose for the assembly is to tell us that there are more sixth graders then the seventh and eighth graders and that it might by crowded in the hall because of all the students.

This year the size of our sixth grade class is at least two hundred eighty or more. When he  said that  I thought to myself that it would be harder to walk in the hall.

Mr. Jackson meant  it about respect and choices. He said  not to pick the wrong people to hang out with and not to pick the wrong way to go with your friends.

A Superintendent's Suspension is what you get from the principal when he sees you doing something wrong like if you are fighting with another person on school grounds.

When Mr. Gonser was telling us that he and Mr. Jackson were going to be in the lunch room with us, I thought that  this was going to be just like 5th grade. It would have been like the 5th grade because in 5th grade we had to have monitors with us in the lunch room the whole time
