September 2002

The whole purpose of the assembly was to tell the sixth graders how to act. It also was about the consequences that would happen if you didn't make the right choices.

The principal of this school is Mr. Jackson, and the assistant principal is Mr. Daraio. The name of this school is Edmund W. Miles Middle School. Mr. Jackson talked about how you could get detention, or what you have to do if there's a fire drill.

Mr. Jackson said if you aren't being good in class you could get detention. He also said that if he has to call your parents then your mom needs to come get you. Lateness for class may lead to detention. We are not allowed to wear shirts that you can see your belly button. You can get in school suspension if you use profanity. Hitting and fighting may lead to suspension, or if its really bad he will call the police officer and you may get more than five days.

Bringing a weapon to school is also suspension for five days. Mr. Jackson said we would have to take the Metropolitan Achievement Test either 2nd or 3rd quarter. This school year I'm going to try my best to get good grades.
