September 2002 Today we had our first school wide assembly for sixth grade students. The principal of our school is Mr. Jackson. The acting assistant of our school is Mr. Daraio. The name of our school is E.W. Miles Middle School. The school-wide theme for the year is responsibility. During the assembly, Mr. Jackson talked about all the disrespecting things that the students do wrong. Also, Mr. Jackson said to never bring food or drink out of the cafeteria except for water. He also talked about classroom behavior what he said was that if you’re bad in class, you will get a punishment assignment. Mr. Jackson said he will call parents if you either get in a fight or get detention after school. He said if you are late to class or school without a late pass you will either get a detention or a punishment assignment. He also said you can’t wear any shirt that you see your bellybutton or tank tops. He also said if you use disrespectful language you will get a detention or a punishment assignment. He said that if you’re hitting, fighting, or watching a fight you will get suspended and a call home. He said that if you bring any weapons to school and get caught you will be suspended, get a superintendent’s conference, and get a call home. What he said about MAT’s is you should always study for them and do the best you can on them. What he said about academic success is how it is important because you would be smarter and have chance to get a better job. To do good this school year I should study for every test and do every homework assignment I am given. In conclusion, this is what the principal talked about at our first school wide assembly. |
