Grading Policy

Quarterly averages will be based on the following:

1. preparation
2. tests
3. quizzes
4. homework
5. class participation
6. projects/reports
7. writing portfolio
8. class website participation
9. classroom  newspaper

Classroom Behavior

1. You must be punctual and prepared: seated and ready to work when the bell rings.
2. Raise your hand to ask a question or to give an answer.
3. You may not leave the room without a pass or until dismissed by the teacher.
4. You are not permitted to eat food, drink beverages or chew gum in the classroom.
5. Keep your hands and feet to yourself.
6. Do not use profanity or obscene gestures.
7. Hats and coats may not be worn in the classroom.

Consequences for misbehavior may escalate through the following steps:
      First Time –                 verbal warning
      Second Time –             15 minute class detention
      Third Time –                Parent contact

 **Repeated infractions or infractions of a more serious nature will result in referral to an administrator and guidance counselor.
