Students worked cooperatively with a partner to develop a CD Rom of the Edmund W. Miles Middle School. This project is a PowerPoint Presentation covering all the departments ,staff, classes, library and administrative offices of our school. Students and their partners interviewed teachers, photographed classes and obtained information for each area of the school. Interviews took place before school, after school, lunch time or during the daily team time. Students were responsible for writing the text that will accompany their pictures. Pictures weree taken using a digital camera. This project incorporated English Language Arts , Social Studies and Technology Standards of the NYSED. This project was worth 50% of our 4th quarter grades in English and Social Studies. All students will receive a copy of the CD-Rom for inclusion into their Writing Portfolio notebooks. This project is in addition to our other academic work for the marking period. |
